Drapery Hardware

A complete guide to hardware location, function, and style — everything you need to specify with confidence.

Selecting the right drapery hardware is one of the most important decisions in any window treatment project. Jo-Vin organizes hardware by three key criteria — location, function, and style — so you can specify with clarity and confidence. The right hardware disappears into the design. The wrong hardware is what guests remember.

Location

Ceiling Mount

Ceiling Mount

The most widely used installation method for commercial drapery. Mounted directly to the ceiling or to the dustcap of a cornice, ceiling mount hardware minimizes light bleed at the top of the treatment and allows for the tallest possible drapery panel.

Wall Mount

Wall Mount

Mounted with wall brackets above the window opening but below the ceiling. Treatment weight and wall blocking are critical factors to account for. The underside of the bracket serves as the effective "ceiling" from which the track hangs.

Function

Manual With Baton

Manual / With Baton

The baton attaches directly to the master carrier and allows guests to open and close drapery panels with a simple push or pull. For a cleaner front-facing aesthetic, the baton can be relocated to the back of the panel.

Cord Drawn

Cord Drawn

Aluminum track hardware with an enclosed top channel through which cords traverse the drapery across the window. Available in both wall and ceiling mount configurations. Note: cord drawn hardware is not ADA compliant.

Motorized

Motorized

Aluminum track hardware fitted with a motor and specialized pulley system, allowing drapery to be operated via remote or wall switch. Requires either hardwired electrical power or battery componentry.

Style

Commercial
